It must be winter
I came home from running errands to find Justin lifting Logan in this box. What parents will do to beat the winter blues ;)
Yay!

All the Small Things
It's ironic as children grow how the theme in toys changes. I'm talking about size and quantity here.

An infant has a swing, bouncy seat and a few larger plastic atrocities provided by fisher-price. The theme here....LARGE

As a child approaches toddlerhood, its likely the toys get a little smaller. Plastic trucks and farmsets with oversized people. Ok, I can deal with that.

Now we sit with a pre-schooler. The choking hazard days are in the past (hopefully) and the abundance of toys has grown. There's one catch. It doesn't LOOK like he has alot of toys. But good grief; the size of these things!

Tiny pieces everywhere. This wouldn't be so bad if he kept it all together but he is four and lets face it, the pieces get misplaced and scattered throughout. The worst part? If he is missing a sword for his castle set or a jaguar for his jungle he will not play until he finds it. The search for missing said item will not cease until it is found no matter the buckets dumped or mess made.
Boys.

Stick People
I remember being ecstactic when he colored me a picture and it resembled a pile of sticks on the ground. Then I was even more excited when he started using colors other than brown or black. Now he has officially moved on to drawing PEOPLE! I can't believe it. Stick people they may be, but he is drawing something that I can actually identify and using bright, vibrant colors while doing so. I love it.
(also notice the "rainbow" and the "elephant") awesome.
These beauties definitely earned a spot in the kitchen :)
