Easter Weekend 2010

We had a really good Easter this year; it was alot different celebrating on our own, but we made it work :) Logan missed his cousins and I made my first ham......it turned out great!
We spent Saturday afternoon at a friends house here in Holland. Logan and her two girls enjoyed and Easter egg hunt and played together all day. Logan and Carlei get along GREAT! They are coming over next weekend and Logan is already counting down the days :)
On Easter we Logan searched for his basket and found it afer walking past it 5 times.......typical guy thing ;) Then we were off to church. The service was AWESOME. I think we will miss all the fun things our church does here in MI when we move back, but we are enjoying it while we can. I made an Easter dinner for the first time, and it thankfully turned out well!
All in all, we missed our families alot, but only a few short weeks until we see everyone again!

Bubbles on the Balcony

March has brought warm weather and sunshine. This combination means that we have been on the balcony playing in the sandvox and blowing bubbles. :)

Ice Skating

Logan's new love of hockey prompted us to make a visit to the local ice rink. He was wary at first, but eventually got it and took off. In the video he is more or less running with the support, but he got the hang of it! Next time we'll take away the support and see what happens ;)

It must be winter

I came home from running errands to find Justin lifting Logan in this box. What parents will do to beat the winter blues ;)

Human Popsicle

Shall we just say Lola is in the spirit of the season? Logan is her one and only after all ;)

Stick People

I remember being ecstactic when he colored me a picture and it resembled a pile of sticks on the ground. Then I was even more excited when he started using colors other than brown or black. Now he has officially moved on to drawing PEOPLE! I can't believe it. Stick people they may be, but he is drawing something that I can actually identify and using bright, vibrant colors while doing so. I love it.
(also notice the "rainbow" and the "elephant") awesome.

These beauties definitely earned a spot in the kitchen :)
